Our Story

Tim Dee-McCullough founded Ancoram in 2023, having been frustrated at how few accountancy practices were providing the sustainability services that businesses needed to build resilience in uncertain times.

Having seen the realities of real-world challenges faced by real-life people, Tim is passionate about leaving the planet in a better place than he found it. He spotted a unique opportunity to blend his deep technical accounting expertise with practical implementation of solutions to the tsunami of ESG regulation on the way, and thus Ancoram was born.

Ancoram is (quite literally) anchored in the sustainability conversation - our name is Latin for anchor, but also hope, refuge and support. We are regulated as an accountancy practice by ACCA, demonstrating our commitment to serving clients with professionalism, objectivity and integrity.

Tim is a trusted advisor who transforms complex sustainability challenges and uncertainty into opportunities for business growth and resilience.

As founder and director of Ancoram, Tim helps multinational companies and financial institutions navigate the ev olving regulatory landscape with clarity and confidence. He demystifies intricate frameworks such as CSRD/ESRS, CSDDD, ISSB, TCFD and TNFD, translating them into practical strategies that drive sustainable growth rather than merely ensuring compliance.

Tim's career spans influential roles at MHA/Baker Tilly Ireland, ACCA, National Grid, RSA Insurance Group, and HSBC, where he developed approaches to turn sustainability requirements into strategic advantage. His international perspective is enhanced by proficiency in business French and German, helping large groups build resilience across their global operations.

A recognised thought leader, Tim has developed pioneering methodologies that simplify ESG implementation while maximising business value. His keynote at the 2024 Global Safety Summit at the House of Lords and presentations to the United Nations Global Compact, CBI and ICAEW demonstrate his ability to make sustainability accessible and actionable.

His work establishing an ESG impact framework for a biomaterials fashion startup showcases his talent for creating growth through sustainability across diverse sectors.

A Fellow of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Royal Society of Arts, and a Member of the Institute of Directors, Tim brings a multidisciplinary approach that helps organisations build truly resilient, sustainable and profitable businesses for the long term.
